A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

Hi! I’m Soph! I am a part time teacher, part time artist with a serious passion for fun, adventure, colour, music, rural life, and of course, ART! Growing up on a cattle and cropping property outside of Millmerran, I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood. Our house was always filled with chatter and home cooking (not excluding countless bowls to lick!), and the farm was our place to explore, learn, work, and admire. This upbringing has led me to hold a great appreciation for the beauty in rural living.

They say that home is where the heart is and that is certainly true for me! I love to paint what feels like home – flowers, table settings and recipes, farm landscapes and machinery. My landscapes and machinery paintings draw inspiration from my dad’s dedication to farming, no matter the season, whilst my table settings and flowers are inspired by my mum’s constant warmth and hospitality to all that enter our house.

I truly hope you feel inspired by my art, find a moment to look around and appreciate the beauty our Australian land holds, and maybe even discover an artwork that feels like home to you.

Thank you so much for your support! This dream is not possible without you all, and the rural communities that get behind small businesses – so hats off to you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • 'I was lucky enough to secure the purchase of "Flowers in December" at the recent Art Exhibition of Sophie Twidale in Goondiwindi. This painting is so special to me. It is so feminine and represents to me the love between women and mothers and daughters. My daughter Meg invited me along to Soph's exhibition for Mother's Day. Meg is to be a new mom in August. This painting brings so much love and warmth to our home. I just love that I was able to support beautiful Sophie, we think she is incredibly talented and a beautiful woman.'

    Cass M

  • 'The commission piece that Soph did for us takes pride of place in our home, because it’s the first thing we want people to see when they walk in the front door! Soph takes so much pride in her work and is meticulous at ensuring her clients are happy with the end result before their painting is delivered. We love our piece so much that we have recommended her to so many friends and family. Not only is she a talented artist but also a beautiful human. Can’t wait to add some more Sophie Twidale’s to our collection!'
