COMMISSIONS GUIDE
I'm so thrilled you're considering commissioning a piece! To ensure I'm the perfect artist to bring your vision to life, please read the four commission steps.
Step One - Artwork brief
Before purchasing a "Commission Spot," it is important to have a vision for your artwork.
What subject will I paint? Currently, I offer commissions for mountain landscapes, cropping scenes, machinery, tablescapes, and flowers. If you have another subject in mind, please feel free to email me directly before booking a commission place, and we can chat further about the possibilities.
It is always helpful to have photographs and inspirational images, as this helps me understand your vision and bring it to life on the canvas. Are you imagining a particular photo in my style? This may be a property picture, recipe and teacup images, or a bouquet of flowers! If you would like more ideas, I love finding inspiration from other artists, too. During the design process, I will ask you to send me your photo inspiration.
What colours/mood? Bright and happy, natural, muted, warm. You may like to think about the colours in your space or draw inspiration from other paintings.
What size would you like? My paintings are priced according to the size of the canvas and are framed in Oak or Blackwood. When choosing a canvas size for your space, please ensure you allow an extra centimetre on either side for framing.

Step Two - Deposit
Once you have decided to commission an artwork, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the quoted price on the commission booking page. You will then be asked some questions to help us collaborate seamlessly and ensure your artwork truly comes to life (see the dot-pointed questions above).
Step Three - Let the painting begin!
Woohoo! We’ve reached the fun part!
You've selected your commission month, and before I even pick up my brush, I'll give you a call! This is where we'll have a quick chat to confirm all the details and make sure I'm absolutely clear on your vision. I plan on finishing your painting within the month you have selected.
When finished, I’ll send you photographs and/or video for your final approval. If you have given permission for me to share the creative process on social media, you may see updates on my stories or feed.
Step Four - Final approval and delivery
After you have given your seal of approval, I’ll get your painting ready for delivery. If you are local to Dalby or Millmerran, you are welcome to pick up, or I can arrange a drop off. Otherwise, I’ll send it to you via Aus. Post. I will also send you an invoice with final payment details if you want it posted via Aus. Post, I will put the shipping cost on the final invoice.
