COMMISSIONS GUIDE
I'm so thrilled you're considering commissioning a piece! My commission slots are released in small, dedicated drops (2 per month) to ensure every painting receives my full creative focus and aligns with my distinct artistic style. To ensure I'm the perfect artist to bring your vision to life, please read the four commission steps.
Step One - Artwork brief
To ensure I’m the right artist to bring your vision to life, I work strictly within my core artistic aesthetic. While you may have seen different subjects or styles in my past works, my ongoing practice is focused exclusively on the following:
What I Paint Best:
Cropping Landscapes: Scenes featuring cotton, sorghum, wheat, or barley, set under clear blue skies.
Mountain & Hill Landscapes: Layered rolling hills and mountain ranges with distinct structural depth—defined by clear tree lines, surrounding paddocks, and open daytime light.
Farm Machinery & Property Scenes: Tractors, headers, and working farm machinery set against open agricultural views.
Tablescapes (Bird's-Eye View): Painted from an overhead/top-down perspective. We will work together on these to customize elements like tablecloths, favorite foods, recipes, teacups, and books!
Florals & Garden Studies: Garden flowers and specific flower requests are warmly welcomed! (Note: Bouquets are painted exclusively on a raw linen background).
'Favourite Things' Series: Replications and custom object studies of iconic items—such as boots, hats, tractors, bikes, chooks, cooking treasures, or sports gear (like cricket bats and balls)—painted against bold, solid colour backgrounds.
Color Palette & Mood Options: We can tailor the palette to suit your space! I often seek colour inspiration from photos or other artists. I like to categorise my pallets colours as:

What I Don't Paint: To stay true to my visual language, I do not paint pets, close-up livestock, windmills, detailed architecture/houses, flat land, or compositions blocked by large foreground trees. I focus on bright, atmospheric daytime blue skies rather than intense sunset tones.
Note: Reference photos of your property, machinery, teacups, or flowers are required with your application! High-resolution photos taken in clear daytime light with distinct structural layers translate best into my style.
What size would you like?My paintings are priced according to the size of the canvas and are framed in Oak or Blackwood. When choosing a canvas size for your space, please ensure you allow an extra centimetre on either side for framing.

Step Two - Submit Your Application
Booking a commission begins with an application form on my website. This process is designed so we can collaborate seamlessly and ensure we create the absolute best piece for your space.
Select your preferred canvas size and target completion month.
Select your color palette preference (Bright & Happy or Natural).
Upload 1–3 clear reference photos.
Submit your details for review. (No payment is taken at this stage).
To ensure every custom canvas receives my complete creative energy and, I accept a strict limit of 2 commissions per month. I review all applications carefully to confirm the lighting, composition, and subject matter align with my painting approach before accepting.

Step Three - Deposit & Calendar Lock-In
Once your application is approved, I will email you a confirmation summary along with an invoice for a 20% non-refundable deposit.
Your spot on my painting calendar is officially locked in once the 20% deposit is paid.
The remaining 80% balance (plus shipping, if applicable) is due upon completion.
Step Four - Let the painting begin!

You've selected your commission month, and before I even pick up my brush, I'll give you a call! This is where we'll have a quick chat to confirm all the details and make sure I'm absolutely clear on your vision. I plan on finishing your painting within the month you have selected.
When finished, I’ll send you photographs and/or video for your final approval. If you have given permission for me to share the creative process on social media, you may see updates on my stories or feed.
Step Four - Final approval and delivery
After you have given your seal of approval, I’ll get your painting ready for delivery. If you are local to Dalby or Millmerran, you are welcome to pick up, or I can arrange a drop off. Otherwise, I’ll send it to you via Aus. Post. I will also send you an invoice with final payment details if you want it posted via Aus. Post, I will put the shipping cost on the final invoice.
